Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: Do you sell on full registration?  A: Yes.  I do not require show contracts nor force people to show their puppy. I do not stay on papers as co-owner.  Trust is the key. I prefer people who do have some prior involvement with conformation or performance.  What I do require though is that your breeding program appear to be focused on bettering the breed by breeding dogs that appear to adhere to the breed standard, that are at the least eye CERF tested annually, AND provide a good home that is life-long.   I do not sell puppies to large commerical kennels, to brokers,  pet stores or back yard breeders (people who breed pet quality dogs without health testing just to make some money).

FAQ: How much do your puppies cost? A: Puppies adopted as pets on AKC Lmt. Reg. are $650.   I prefer pet homes, especially people who have owned cockers befor and are replacing one that has passed away, so I do sell most of my puppies as pets, even if they are show quality.  Puppies sold to breeders for breeding or show are $850.  Males and Females are the same price.

FAQ: Health Testing and Health Guarantee? A:  My adult dogs are all eye CERF examined annually. We also occasionally do other miscellanious health testing from time to time such as OFA, thyroid and liver function.  Each of my dogs is very healthy, and I absolutely will NOT breed a dog with a known health problem.  My puppies are health guaranteed for 2 years against blinding, crippling, life threatening or fatal diseases or conditions that are birth defects or hereditary.

FAQ: Do your dogs have good temperaments? A: YES!!!  Temperament is my #1 priority, because lets face it... a beautiful dog is no joy to own if it is scared or nasty! My dogs LOVE people, all people! I will not own a cocker that doesn't. Aside from a puppy stage in which the body grows faster than the bladder, submissive urnination tends to be hereditary. None of my dogs "piddle" when they meet new people.  Our puppies are born and raised in our home. They are extensively socialized to children, a cat, our Boxer, and strangers. I take my puppies to the nursing home that I work at & wow, they get tons of loving from lots of strangers. Puppies leave me extrememly confident.

FAQ: What comes with the puppy? A:  All puppies have tails docked to show standards, are groomed, vet examined with a health record and health certificate, de-wormed and fecal checked, first shot at 8 weeks (Vanguard 5), a toy with mother and littermates scent on it, a Eukenuba puppy kit which includes a free sample and coupons, AKC paperwork and a 2 year health guarantee.

FAQ: Do you allow visitors? A: YES  Visitors are welcome when puppies are available, by appointment at times that do not interfere with our schedule or whelping.

FAQ: Do you deliver? A: We can deliver to Syracuse NY for no charge. My husband drives truck and makes several trips to Syracuse during the week. He can meet you on the 90.  We don't deliver otherwise, unless we happen to be going to a dog show or something that is toward your direction.

FAQ: Do you air ship? YES! We air ship using Continental Quick Pack (a counter to counter service, pups carrier is hand carried on and off the plane, & they ride in the cabin- not in cargo!) Air shipping is an additional $350 which includes air fare, carrier, water cups/stickers, Interstate Health Certificate, and covers are time and expenses related to making the flight arraingements, travel to the airport and airport parking, ect...  If you need your puppy air shipped, do not be worried. I've been air shipping since 1998 and have never had any problems. The puppy will have already have gone on several car rides riding inside the crate & when you open his crate up at the airport, you'll have a happy tail wagging puppy eager to give you kisses. The puppy will not be traumatized, nor even really phased by the shipping.  I absolutely love my puppies and I would'nt air ship them if I felt it was detrimental to their well being. I have noticed the breeders who refuse to air ship simply do not have any experience with it & their fears are simply ignorant.  I have also found the Continental staff seem to LOVE the puppies and treat them extremely well while they are traveling with them.

FAQ: How much do you need for a deposit?  A:  $250 will hold the puppy of your choice. If you change your mind, the deposit is not refundable, however I would be happy to transfer the entire deposit to another available puppy that is the same age or older. It's never happened to me yet, but if anything bad were to happen to your puppy, I would promptly refund your deposit.

FAQ: What forms of payment do you accept?  A:  Pay Pal, Money Order, Western Union, & in person I prefer cash. I will issue you a detailed, signed receipt. Please never send cash through the mail!  No personal checks please.  For your peace of mind, I am Pay Pal verified. I am also a licensed nurse through the NYS Office of Professions and am held to high ethical standards.
